hi, looks look you should try using something like:

tc = table.getColumn(columnId)

to get a TableColumn object, then a number of methods are available
such as:

tc.setMaxWidth(int maxWidth)
tc.setMinWidth(int minWidth)
tc.setWidth(int width)

( BTW I apologise if anything is innacurate, I'm a bit of newbie but
I've been fiddling with tables quite a bit recently... )
