I`m having some problem using dual 9600GT (drivers downloaded directly from
nVidia) and the X.

I run the instalation following the steps provided by nVidia, SUDOing
everything BUT, when the computer restarts, the X ask me to reconfig it
'cause it's configuration was lost.

I was very exited about using Ubuntu as my main OS, but this kind of problem
is annoying enough for me to give it up and return to my old Windows XP.

I`m using Hardy.

What the hack can be causing this X trouble?
