I'm also having problems with trying to connect, not just with Ubuntu, but I
also tried Puppy Linux, put my RealTek Wireless Adapter in the same spot as my
Linksys with Windows which was claiming 4 bars while the Realtek showed only 2.
I even did a live CD in the windows computer and used the Realtek there. Puppy
Linux, shows networks, but does one page at the most, like yahoo after
connection. Windows on same computer, same wireless just flies along. Can anyone
tell me why and how to correct? I'm a newbie using a free library wireless
connection. Have tried Ubuntu on a Systemax, a Dell GX240, etc. and signal is
not at all good with Linux.
