Where's my open office?

Date: Dec 07    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 338

Finally got Ubuntu Netbook Remix loaded onto my Acer Aspire One. Wound up
doing duel boot, not my first choice. Anyway let's pretend that I am as of
the moment a complete Ubuntu idiot.

I went to Add/Remove and downloaded Open Office Suite. Now where do I
access the other programs? Can I put short-cut Icons in the Office section?

Believe me for a while, I will be asking other questions that will prove
that I am definitely not smarter than a 5th grader.

Usually when you install a package (programme) it puts the right icon in the
appropriate location. It is possible to add things yourself but after 2.5
years with Linux on 4 computers I've never had to do it.

That's what I thought, But I can not find them anywhere. I still have just
the basic package that came with UNR but I know the files are on the
partition. Any ideas?

I assume you mean "word processor," "spreadsheet" etc. when you say "other
programs."

Do you have an Office menu item? Do you have a "main menu" (editor) under
Preferences?
