Virginmedia and Evolution

Date: Dec 06    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 627

I've recently moved house and had to change to a Virginmedia account. This works
fine on Windows, although it was trickier to set up on Windows, but I can't get
Evolution and Virginmedia.com to talk to each other.
Anyone else had a similar problem?

What error is it showing when you try to connect?

Im sure you did this but covering my bases:
incoming mail: pop.virginmedia.com
outgoing mail: smtp.virginmedia.com
check outgoing server requires authentication.
your email is your account name and then your password.
Outgoing port is 465, incoming port is 995

The Send/Receive button isn't highlighted so send/receive is off to start with.
Virginmedia requires ssl.
