viewing macro code

Asked By: Chigaru    Date: Jan 04    Category: MS Office    Views: 747

I'm looking at a workbook that says it contains macros. I don't want
to run them until I see the code behind them, but when I open the
workbook and go to Tools/Macro/Macros, there are no macro names
listed in the dialogue box, nor do I see any code in the Visual Basic
Editor. Am I looking in the wrong place?

When you open  VBA, there should be a window on the left marked “Project …”

To see the code, you will have to select (dbl-click) one of the entries in that window. For example, the entry could say “ThisWorkbook”

You must go one step further. Select the Visual Basic Editor in
that sub menu.
