I installed Ubuntu 8.04 a couple of months ago. I don't know and can't
find how to get my Sierra Wireless USBConnect 881 modem to work. I've been
to AT&T's site and there's a reference to Sierra's website. The directions
on Sierra's site are unclear, and I haven't been able to get the modem to
work. Google searches on the subject point me back to Sierra's website.

My LINUX experience to date is playing some of the games, and messing with
the terminal window trying to get the modem to work. I'm on a XP machine
now and getting Ubuntu online would be a big step for me. I'm a member of
the wireless generation and have no land lines. Not even cable. Any
suggestions, ideas?
