I am aware that the questions I am going to ask is not that much related to the list topic, but as long as I have been a member of it, I¢ve realized that there are many knowledgeable people here generous enough to share their priceless experience; therefore, I do apologize if this post seems a kind of spam to you.

Not to make it long, let us directly jump to questions.

1) Is the degree taken into account when calculating salary in contracts, or, on the other hand, it is the experience and knowledge that determines how much money is granted to a person?

2) Which one is offered more suitable job positions, or which one has a better opportunity to acquire a given project? A well-educated person or an experienced one? How about the case if you are the employer? How education influences you to evaluate a certain person¢s abilities.

3) Do you agree with me that a high percentage of material pursued in universities are thoroughly abstract and are never used in a real project? Have you had the same experience?

4) Which one gives a person better ideas to enable him establish his/her own business, academic environment or work area?

I will be so thankful if you could compare Iranian companies, of course not governmental ones, with foreign companies, regardless of where they are located, in the questions above.

Finally, considering the concerns mentioned, if you were to choose to take time to continue your education in a foreign country, in a mediocre university (of course with fund), or get employed and start gathering experience and making money, which one would you opt for?
