I have a separate /home partition. When I change /etc/fstab to point to the new
/home, it does, but I lose the launcher and the meta key. If I boot from a live
CD and comment out the line in /etc/fstab, the the launcher and meta key return
on reboot. I am running AMD 64-bit Desktop.

The line I added to /etc/fstap was:
UUID=f369a1c7-8eaa-4956-8df7-e661c12601e8 /home ext4 nodev,nosuid 0 2

I also tried it using /dev/sda6 instead of the UUID, but the results were the
same.

Does Oneric have a different procedure for moving /home than earlier versions of
Ubuntu?
