This is a really weird problem. I put Hardy Heron on one partition of a
hard drive and Intrepid Ibex on the other. I updated both to the same
level. The Hardy heron shuts down in about 20 seconds from when I click
on the last shutdown button to the power going off on the computer. When
I do the same thing with Intrepid Ibex, the gui disappears and I get a
screen with 6 lines of the startup messages, there appears to be no hard
drive activity, but after about 3 minutes or so, the power goes off. Any
ideas on what the cause is?
