The front USB ports are connected via a cable and if they aren't
working then one possible cause is that this cable has worked loose,
either at the motherboard end or the front panel end ( which will mean
removing the front panel to get to the connector probably ). Always
worth checking the physical side before getting involved in software
fixes

Didn't thank of that. I just want to use my flash
for storage and dont want to go thought the hassle of rearranging the computer
each time I do. I will try checking the hard waer
