what Kernel is 10.04?

I just went from 9.10 to 10.04 and everything went
smoothly except my own pea-sized brain.

When it asked if I wanted to update my menu.lst (i'm still using grub
1) I said NO. Now I am stuck with not knowing what Kernel I am
supposed to be booting from...?

The latest one on my menu.lst after running "update-grub" was
2.6.31-20, and uname -a identified this as Lucid lynx.

However, it seemed like that was an older kernel to me, and 2.6.32-28
was also present and installed on my machine. Manually adding the
newer kernel to Menu.lst (update-grub does not for some reason) boots
into a system that also seems to be fine, but boot time is a little
slower. And what I mean by slower is that it sits on the "Booting from
SDA3" grub message for a pretty long time... about 25 seconds,
compared to 2-3 seconds in the past and for the other Kernel.

So does anybody know what the default kernel should have been for a
10.04 upgrade performed yesterday? and if x.x.32-28 is right, I'd
really appreciate any ideas on the slower boot times...
