Installing ASP.NET on Windows XP Pro

Asked By: Jaxson    Date: Feb 02    Category: Asp.net    Views: 1467

I installed the .NET SDK on my Windows 2000 system at work and it
automatically configured IIS running on that system to handle .aspx
files.

However, when I loaded the .NET SDK on my Windows XP Pro machine at
home, it did NOT configure IIS on that system to handle .aspx files.

Does anyone have any information about how I can get .ASPX files
running under IIS on Windows XP Pro?

try to execute aspnet_regiis.exe from the command prompt. You can find this file in

.net framework/v1.0.3705. I dont know exactly whether this can fix the problem or not.
