Make sure you have administrator access to your box during the install  (regular
access should work once installed). I have no clue if this will fix the error
or
not. The error  message is indicative overly restrictive permissions when
accessing
the windows  registry.

I have admin access in the sense
that I am in the administrator group on this machine.
Could there be some other reason for it?

LAst Time i received an error  message like this Unexpected Signal :
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
> > (0xc0000005

it was a bad memory chip in the machine

I doubt it. EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION is indicative of an error  occuring in
low
level (C++) code. The function listed (MapVirtualKeyExW) is a windows  System
function used when accessing Windows registry keys. Thats why I initially
thought
it was due to overly restrictive registry permissions. There is nothing to
indicate
a hardware flaw here. Issues with your system install, windows registry
corruption,
or an erroneous version of eclipse  are all plausible.

I would still try my recommendation of installing Eclipse on another machine.
The
other options are almost impossible to solve without re-installing the OS. You
could try applying service packs first though. You might also want to show this
to
your system administrator if you have one and see if he/she can figure it out.

Sorry but I don't think I'll be much more help. Tell me if you figure it out!

There must be a different reason then but I don't know what it is. Try
installing
on another machine and see if that works. If it works on another machine you
might
have to reinstall the operating system on the first machine.
