Format a registration form in excel and send it by email

Asked By: Kaua    Date: Feb 26    Category: MS Office    Views: 1954

I work for a travel service within a large insurance
company. For the incentive travel we provide, I format a
registration form in excel and send it by email to all 800 agents.
This form contains cells for name, address, phone numbers, agent
number, district, etc. My problem has been that when they email the
form back to me as an attachment, half the info is missing or
incorrect. I have fixed much of the incorrect info. using
conditional formatting and drop downs. However, I would love it if
there was a way to declare certain cells as "required" that might
give a warning if the user leaves the cell blank. After they fill
out the form, they simply click file, send to, mail recipient as
attachment, and send back to me.I need a way to get them to fill out
all required fields before they send back.Any help would be greatly
appreciated. I am an absolute novice at VBA and have been unable to
figure anything out. Not sure I could write the code if I did have a
brainstorm.

I would do this in a "form". That way you could make sure the data is
there and not put it in the sheet if fields aren't filled in. You
could also password protect the real sheet so that they can only enter
data via the form.

If you need more please let me know.
