booting problems

Date: Dec 28    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 317

I have dual boot (linux/windows) and everything was working well.
Suddenly a couple of days ago, I couldn't get in to Linux (Gutsy Gibon).
Grub comes up, the menu (including the correct disk notation) comes up.
If I press windows, it goes to windows. If I press on the Linux line, I
get a message "cannot mount selected partintio: press any key to
conyinue". and the I get back into Grub. Any ideas.

I looked at the site. Looks good but meanwhile I did what Joseph did. I
reinstalled Feisty and have now upgraded to gutsy so hopefully I'll be
OK. I have another problem, about hyperlinks which I've posted in
another letter.
