I am not sure what you want to know?

I live in the UK and have never heard of Ratel.
But from the looks of things they have are building machines with
hardware that they know will work well with Ubuntu
i.e. if you go for the wireless option it will 'just work' no messing
around with ndiswrapper stuff when you take it out of the box.

Dell now also do an ubuntu line but these Ratel guys seem to be
concentrating fully on Linux and good for them - well done Ratel !

Their 'about us' statement:
"System76 provides and supports Ubuntu pre-installed laptops,
desktops, and servers with a commitment to the ideals of open source
software. Our aim is to enable consumers, businesses, schools, and
governments to easily transition to the world of open source software
through world class hardware, software, and support."

Is it me or are they offering 64 bit ubuntu on 32 bit hardware?

There's something on the Ubuntu web page about System76 supplying
servers ... perhaps there's something about these, or other machines,
as well ...

Well on looking on reviews and such. Not too bad for the money. It is a strip
down and plain Jane for under $400.00. At least if you up grade the video, ram,
and sound. It willl be a good system. You all ways can add a DVDR later on. It
is some thing to wiz through the web and do some other stuff. At least the
system should run with out any problems.
