Yes I was aware of EOL for 11.04, but I detest the new UI. Fortunately I
discovered Lubuntu and have installed 12.04, which did not cure my problem. The
Cedarview drivers work only with 32 bit OS, and I am running 64 bit. Here is the
message I got when I attempted to add the repository.
You are about to add the following PPA to your system:
These packages are now in 12.04 in multiverse as of 8/17/2012, please don't use
this PPA.
Some notes:
* i386 *only*, there will not be amd64 support (even in windows!)
* >= 4GB ram needs mem=4G added to the kernel command line
* If your bios exposes a phantom LVDS device (and many do), update your bios to
get the fix or add video=LVDS-1:d to the kernel command line
* Unity3D sessions do not work. GL support in general is very sketchy
