The spacee between the column of data after you paste it in the
NotPad is called a White space  and if I understood you now that you
actuallly want a space as pressing the space bar then you can just
do a Find/Replace All for all white Space to a " ". Just do a Copy
at the White Space and place it in the Find Prompt and a " " as
pressing the space bar in the Replace Prompt. You do not need to use
Ms Word.
