web cam with java

I am working on robotics project where my webcam will be mounted on the robot.
the webcam will be connected to the computer as usual. i want to use java to
capture the image from the webcam and display it. based on where the user clicks
on the image i want the coordinates to be stored in a file.

Has any body done this before / if you know where i could find more reg this.
please do let me know. could some body recommend a book which deals with my
requirement.

you may using the Java Media Framework (JMF) to connect to your
webcam.
