Outlook???

Date: Jan 08    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 435

I've been getting these emails supposedly sent from myself, to myself,
with the subject as:

Microsoft Office Outlook Test Message

and with a body of:

This is an e-mail message sent automatically by Microsoft Office
Outlook's Account Manager while testing the settings for your POP3 account.

Please bear in mind that:
- I don't use outlook
- I don't use windows

I've always just thought it was spam, but thought I would ask you guys.
Should i be concerned?

It sounds like someone that has a windows machine that is using outlook has
your email and password program in outlook. Thats the only reason I can see
you getting these emails. You may want to go in and change your password as
soon as possible. Check the email and see where the original IP is coming
from. Your I sp may have given someone your account info by accident when
looking up there account I have seen it happen before when I was working
tech at Earthlink. Its a lazy rep issue sometimes. Thats what it sounds like
to me, however there could be another reason for it but it is very unlikely.
