Error Messages Upon Bootup

Date: Nov 29    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 448

Just installed Ubuntu and each time I boot the machine it says the following:

Error - No suitable mode found
Error - Unknown command "Terminal"

However when I wait about 3 more minutes the the Ubuntu screen comes up and
loads without problems.

Something missing or do most people have error messages when they boot their
machines? Was running Windows XP on this machine prior and wow it seems to run
just as slow as Windows did. Also, if Ubuntu really Linux because it almost
looks just like a version of windows in a way!?

Also, is their a good video or something that can guide me through the learning
process or this new OS??

When I boot up, I don't get any error messages.

Yes, it's really Linux. Perhaps you could describe your computer, since it seems
to be running very slow. (CPU, video, RAM.)
