A couple of useful links I found today. I am catching up on my RSS feeds.
You can install programmes from the web using Synaptic: http://appnr.com
Programmes are categorized and clicking on the programme gives you more info and
clicking on Install launches Synaptic. You can only do one at a time. What I
can't figure out is that some of them are not in the repos. So where do they
come from?

I also have a How-to upgrade to 9.04 and convert EXT3 to EXT4, but I will only
post it if requested because you can really mess yourself up if you don't know
what you are doing. EXT4 is backward compatible but EXT4 cannot be mounted from
EXT3. Also Ubuntu 9.04 is still in Alpha. It is usable, but you should not count
on it for your main OS.
