links to JAVA applets

Asked By: Jesse    Date: Jun 17    Category: Java    Views: 886

I recently upgraded my computer from Windows ME to XP PRO.
When I browse on IE 6 a number of links to JAVA applets don't work.

Specifically, I listen to internet radio a lot and a number of
station websites use proprietary media players that must be
downloaded. There is a "click here to play/download" link and
nothing happens when I click it. Opening in a new window produces an
error window with an address that refers to "JAVA .... etc".

When I try the link on another computer it works fine - a new window
opens and plays/asks to install, etc.

until you find Microfot VM for Java, make sure all the chcekboxes are checked if
not check them and restart your computer.
