Is there a way on ubuntu10.04LTSto automatically startup firefox, and a doc edit in gedit,as in windows XP startup folder?
You can write a script to do that, but it looks like this would work.www.thegeekstuff.com/.../ubuntu-open-applications-automatically-durin\g-system-startup/
You right click on the entry for it in Applications and choose add it tothe panel
This does not make it autorun. It just puts a launcher where it is moreconvenient similar to pinning it in Windows to the start menu. He wants itto actually run without clicking. The place to go is: System > Preferences >Startup Applications (older versions may say Sessions and have a tab forStartup Programs). If there are several then he can make a script and run itfrom here.
