Scribus (Stable) Newsletter Problem

Date: Feb 04    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 321

I'm using Scribus (Stable) to try to make a newsletter for my
church. However the problem is I cannot type text into it. I create a
field for text, then click the thing to type text into it, but the
problem is that I cannot type letters into it. It will take punctuation
marks and numbers, but I cannot type letters. What's up with that?

Did you do a Google search to see if anyone else is having this problem?
That's the first thing I'd try.

If that doesn't work, post back here with some more details about your
computer such as age, speed, ram, etc.

Obvious question time: Are you having the same problem in any other
applications?

Sounds like you need to go hit the Scribus web site and/or forums, then. It's
an application-level problem.

After inserting the text frame where you want it, click on the icon that
looks like a letter A with a cursor beside it. Putting your mouse pointer
on it will display the pop up box of, "Edit contents of frame." Click
inside the text box and you should be able to enter your text with no
problem.

Yeah thanks, it might be a bad install or something.
