I'm another frustruated Windows user who's ready to explore some other
operating systems. Having said that, there are some programs I use
that appear to be Windows-only, and that I will need to continue using
for both personal and business purposes.
I know that Apples have Windows emulator software, which fools the
program in question into thinking it's running on Bill-ware. Are there
similar programs available for Linux?
Specificially, I would like to continue using Word Perfect, and Corel
says that Word Perfect won't work on Linux. I also know that Corel
used to make a Linux version of Word Perfect. Does anyone know if it
can open the Windows-based .wpd files?
I also use TaxCut and QuickBooks for business purposes, and I'm not
aware of similar programs in Linux.
