My sound card is not recognized when Ubuntu boots from computer turn-on. If I do a restart the sound card is recognized and works as itshould. I have installed 7.10 but the problem also existed with 7.04.I'm new to Linux and need help.
Which sound card do you have?.................
The card is an Ensoniq with creative 1373 chip. Ubuntu calls it EnsoniqAudioPCI and ES1371
If it is a PCI sound card and not on board sound card. Go into BIOS and disablethe on board sound device. If that does not work. Please post your system specs.Like make model ect..
