No sound card on boot

Date: Jan 03    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 349

My sound card is not recognized when Ubuntu boots from computer turn-
on. If I do a restart the sound card is recognized and works as it
should. I have installed 7.10 but the problem also existed with 7.04.
I'm new to Linux and need help.

The card is an Ensoniq with creative 1373 chip. Ubuntu calls it Ensoniq
AudioPCI and ES1371

If it is a PCI sound card and not on board sound card. Go into BIOS and disable
the on board sound device. If that does not work. Please post your system specs.
Like make model ect..
