I am using Ubuntu 10.04 until the new LTS comes out, buthave been using Mint 11 and really like the Delete buttonon the menu or what ever it is, instead of or along with"Move to Trash" selection. Is it possible to add that somehowon Ubuntu.
In Nautilus: Edit, Preferences, Behaviour and check the last box. InDolphin (Kubuntu): Settings, Configure Dolphin, General Tab, firstcheckbox.
I did look for something in gconf-editor but thereis a lot of stuff there.
It took me years to stumble upon that particular feature but now Icouldn't do without it. Glad to share.
I've been wanting this feature for a long timemyself. Never thought to look there for it. This just made my day!
There is also always the possibility of clicking on the file and pressingthe physical delete button.
