Using LibreWrite

Date: Feb 05    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 351

I have converted LibreOffice in 10.04, when I try to open a document be
double clicking on the file I see the spinning circle but nothing happens.
I can right click and go to open with and pick LibreWrite from a drop down
list. I have looked at System Preferences Preferred Applications, but I
don't
see any place to pick anything for office applications. How do I can
from Open
Office and to LibreOffice products?

Right on a file type you want to convert, say "myfile.ods"
Select "Properties"
In Properties select the tab "Open With"
Select "LibreOffice"

Tried it and it worked fine. Thanks for the tip.
Somewhere in the deep dark recesses of the mine
I think I knew that too.
