I checked the web site and saw the killer and also Web OS J2SOS link, downloaded and checked the sample
and I have some questions:

1) what are those martin fawler ideas that killer is based upon?
2) is this web OS some kind of web based terminal that connects to windows machine, and allows you to run windows programs?
3) what is the added value of Killer compared to other AJAX frameworks?

Just strange, what I can say at all.

“Presentation is everything” that’s what I’ve heard so many times from my managers who were successful businessmen. I talk about the rules all over the world except the political ones.

It’s not the first time and will be not the last that a technically weak product presented so proudly and raises professionals’  sighs in a country that there are companies selling ‘similar to nothing products’ instead of ERP solution and etc.

At university there were no course teaching us business related to our field causes the situation that most of the IT managers and CEO’s have not related education. (apologize exceptions). I should cry for our country’s IT industry with so many immigrated talents and not well utilized remaining.

I remember once a person gave a php system our to police instead of the java  system mentioned in their contract and no body noticed there!
so it is not amazing that they show this Killer framework  in TV.
they like this kind of demo and show offs in TV for some reasons, and it is hard to know which one is real and which one is not.
but this groups is highly technical group, and such a demonstrations needs to be supported with technical discussions.
I still don't see any new idea being implemented in the killer framework.

I was just wondering,

Does anybody take a framework  called “Killer” seriously?

Sounds like yahoo mail password retrieval perl script made by a 12 year old script kiddo.

So why would you guys spend so much time on this stuff … just move on and let the dude be happy with his new framework.

the reason that we must take this seriously is that if don't say any thing, it is considered as some kind of approval.
just as the presentation of the work in Islamic Republic of Iran TV is considered as kind of approval and prestige for it.
there are lots of people with few knowledge of Java platform at higher management positions who are members of this list, and are responsible for making high level management decisions in their organizations.
these few emails will alert them to be aware about rejection of the framework  by professional Java community.

I don't necessarily agree with the fact higher management should
understand the underlaying technology  but I do believe the question
boils down to how we organize a software company. Since I had never
been in a management position back there, I don't really have an idea
what this is like. What are the main roles of a software company and
what do you expect from each role in terms of understanding and
skills?

I understand that it is even difficult to call the Killer a
framework but let's just don't kill the Killer!! We hate show-offs as
Amirsam did it without knowing the scale of his work but at the same
time lets welcome all the tiny good works done by everyone. This way
we can evolve. Unfortunately intolerance is an epidemic in out country!!
