"Contains" autofilter in VBA code

Asked By: Dana    Date: Nov 02    Category: MS Office    Views: 3100

Have an urgent query.

I have a text box in an input form and depending on whatever the user
types in this text box, I wish to filter data in another sheet using the
"contains" text autofilter option.

For example, if the user types "oil", I wish to filter all the items in
"materials" column (next sheet) having "oil" in the description
(anywhere, in the beginning, middle or end).

Which part of this can't you do?

You can easily find out the VBA for specifying a contains filter by
recording a macro. Then just change the code to provide the new value.
