I was just given another project and was wondering if anyone has done it
before or know of a way it can be done. I haven't started coding, just looking
for information to see if it's doable. The code will be used on an XP system.

The premise is they want to read bar codes from a badge, and input the data
into an Excel sheet. (Name / Phone / Address, etc.) I’m due to get a list of the
hardware they have soon, since I know it will depend on the reader to some
degree. They are willing to upgrade the hardware if they must but want me to use
what they have if I can.
