Ever since I installed Ubuntu on my computer my mouse has become over-active. When I click on a link in Thunderbird I get 2 tabs of the same material. When Iclick the delete button on a message in Thunderbird or Mail in VISTA itsometimes deletes 2 messages.I have change the mouse in both V and U to make it less sensitive but it remainsthe same. I have downloaded the driver for the Acer USB mouse and it remainsthe same.
Sounds like a case of 'switch bounce' - i.e. you've worn it out Try another USB mouse and chances are it'll solve this one - rememberyou can't solve hardware problems with a software fix, and vice-versa.
