You might to reboot to get it to work or at least reload X. Failing this you can
try to edit xorg.conf manually.

Just add the following lines to /etc/X11/xorg.conf:


Section ServerFlags
Option DontZap false
EndSection
There is some discussion in other forums about having to take additional steps.
