using the phone as a modem (in windows) also requires a monthly charge and
sprint will charge you for that... In windows i was able to use that feature
with unlimited data plan and using a software from mobileaction.com and of
course using their specific cable.
I was not able to use the same feature in linux as the hardware (the usb
cable provided by them) did not work on linux.
