I seem to have cleverly set my computer to no longer run programs. I
double click and the little dial comes up and the box on the bottom
tells me it is opening the program. After a couple of minutes it goes
away and nothing happens (no message - no nothing).

I then examined the properties and noticed that the execute box was
not check. When I did check it I was told that was not possible as
the disk was a read only disk so I could not change the permissions.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this one?
