www.learningsqlserver2008.com In this tutorial video on SQL server 2008, we go over SQL Server Reporting Services. We go over the SSRS architecture and then move on to reporting services configuration manager. Here we cover services account, web service URL which uses port 80. We go over the Report Manager URL and some other settings. Next we use Business intelligence development studio also known as BIDS to create a report. This is a cut down version of Microsoft visual studio 2008. We follow the reporting services project wizard to create a report on Northwind database. We demonstrate on how to create a new data source and edit connection string. We also use the graphical query designer which can help you build SQL statements fairly easily. Next we created tabular report and add some more fields from the SQL tables.
