Shell V-Power 97 Carnival/Convoy,3 July 2010, Johor Bahru : Despite a light drizzle, 40 high-powered motorcyclists took it in stride and travelled in a convoy on a five-hour ride through the entire Johor Baru district in conjunction with the launch of Shell V-Power 97 fuel. The Saturday morning event kick-started with the convoy, led by Johor Bikers Club president Abd Rahim Ahmad, or fondly known as Haji Rock, taking off from the Superfuel Ventures Shell station in Pasir Gudang about 8am. Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd managing director Azman Ismail flagged off the event. The convoy, accompanied by several classic cars, support vehicles and police outriders, took to the district's streets as road users watched the spectacle. The event was also part of Shell Malaysia's nationwide programme to promote the use of their Shell V-Power 97 fuel among car and motorcycle enthusiasts. The convoy also saw the participation of other Shell dealers from the sothern region. At each of the eight stations, carnivals were organised for the public, boasting an array of activities from lucky draws, balloon giveaways and colouring contests. During the 40-km journey, the convoy made promotional stops at six other Shell stations before ending the trip at Shell D'Irsyad Petromart on Jalan Skudai.
