Visual RAD

Are there any visual tools to develop java applications which is easy to use
such as Microsoft visual basic 6.0 ? since during this time, I am using notepad
and I think, it is not practise..

There are many tools  available for developing java  program. Most popular tools
are Editplus & netbeans which are available in net. You can download it.

Try the NetBean, SUN has improved lot on that lately and just on 09/28/04,
they gave seminar and presentation on that. check that out at

There are plenty of tools  that provide IDE for Java like Jbuilder,
Forte,etc... If you want a small and compatible one then you may try
JCreator...

To add to it...U can even use textpad to write code on , compile and run the
Java code...

See if you want to be good in java  really thorough with the syntaxes. I
would reccommend EditPlus or JCreator. If you want a RAD tool the try
JBuilder...

Use the Eclipse IDE its a cool visual  tool to create java  programs and
its free try checking out the www.eclipse.org website.

you can use JBuilder or netBeans IDE
