There are many tools available for developing java program. Most popular toolsare Editplus & netbeans which are available in net. You can download it.
Try the NetBean, SUN has improved lot on that lately and just on 09/28/04,they gave seminar and presentation on that. check that out atdevelopers.sun.com/.../presentations/uml.html?ssobm=yg<http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jsenterprise/reference/presentations/uml.html?ssobm=yg>
There are plenty of tools that provide IDE for Java like Jbuilder,Forte,etc... If you want a small and compatible one then you may tryJCreator...
To add to it...U can even use textpad to write code on , compile and run theJava code...
See if you want to be good in java really thorough with the syntaxes. Iwould reccommend EditPlus or JCreator. If you want a RAD tool the tryJBuilder...
Use the Eclipse IDE its a cool visual tool to create java programs andits free try checking out the www.eclipse.org website.
you can use JBuilder or netBeans IDE
