creating a folder it gives me an erorr saying Error "Unsupporting
Operation" Creating new folder .. but if i delete a file and then

NTFS is not a drive, but a Microsoft file system. Since this is a Linux forum, I
am not sure why you need our help or what exactly you are trying to do.

If you want to write to a NTFS drive from an installed Linux OS then we need to
know more about your setup. What distro? What is in the fstab?

If it is formatted in NTFS, is Windows installed on the drive? More information
is needed.

you said you have a secondary hard drive that has ntfs
partition which Im assuming to mean that you are duel booting and you
want to be able to access your other data.

First, have you searched the Ubuntu forums? If so, please post what
you have already tried.

Second, what version of Ubuntu/Kubuntu are you running?

managed to get it working.. thanks to all of you..I removed
the drive from my pc and made it an external usb drive and connected
it to a xp pro machine.. and did that "safely remove hardware"
thingy.. then connected it back to my ubuntu machine..
