I was wondering if there is a Ubuntu on line Tutorial
of some sort? Some of these can be very informational.
A Google search hint might help too.

People have posted a number of resources including three pdf books in recent
weeks.

I addition the online help at Ubuntu is very good. https://help.ubuntu.com/
For visual learners, some people like http://ubuntuclips.org/
Linux.com has some good features. Search their site for specific help.
Here is a list of resources: http://www.linux.com/feature/58852 It is a bit
dated, but it may lead you where you want to go.

Expect many tutorials to focus on the commandline because they are written by
power users who prefer it. An example would be:
www.linux-tutorial.info/modules.php

Tutorials need to be specific to what you are trying to do and fail when people
are running different hardware, etc. Mentoring works best, IMO. Great places to
learn are in the forums and on IRC. There are many Ubuntu forums other than this
one and Linuxquestions.org is more general, but you will find much to do with
Ubuntu on any forum as it has the most users. I also like RSS feeds and podcasts
for keeping up with what is happening. A good podcast for newbies is
http://goinglinux.com/

Radio America has a Linux show once a month and Larry Bushey of GoingLinux is
one of the moderators. Times and dates can be found on his site (above).

Other podcasts can be found on http://www.thelinuxlink.net/
www.junauza.com/.../...xfoss-podcasts-of-2008.html
Note: Linux podcasts come and go, but their archives are often full of
information; sometimes the language can be very rough. This is unregulated
territory.
