Ubuntu on ITX motherboard

Date: Jan 02    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 310

I was wondering if anyone has installed Ubuntu on a Via VB7001G Mini
ITX Motherboard w/1.5GHz C7 CPU. I am looking to add NDAS support as
well is a B2K phone adapter to use Skype with. I understand that Skype
may be a problem with Ubuntu by itself. Is this true?

Try running the CD as live and see if every thing works. It will run slow, but
you can test it out before install.

Skype works great on my 7.04 Ubuntu box - ever since I installed it.
It looks slightly "older" than the winversion but works just fine for
voip and Skypeout.

Skype on linux is fantastic... it's like back to the good old version
IMHO. Trouble was with windows they kept updating it every few weeks...
some folk didn't want the video and later stuff which stopped you using
it on an older machine.
