I then opened the midi file with Rosegarden. All fine and dandy...lookslike it is working and all...except there is not sound! Anybody run intothis before? What can I do to fix this?
Can you point out where you DL that file.
I guess I'm not sure what you mean by where I downloaded a file from. I gotthe ISO image of Ubuntu Studio from the main Ubuntu Studio page (or one ofits mirrors). The midi file was something I created.
