Please point me to a C programming manual

This old wise donkey wants to try the impossible: to learn to program in C
under Linux.
I have no experience in C and some C source code scared the hell out of me.
Nevertheless, I want to learn to program in C under Ubuntu. Even graphical
applications.
Please send me a C programming manual with specific instructions for GTK+
applications and other stuff for Ubuntu.

Don't know how helpful these may be but try:

Manuals

From Open Watcom

Note:
The following documents are PDF versions of online books shipped with
Open Watcom in Windows, OS/2 and DOS online help formats.

An alternative source for these is ftp://www.openwatcom.org/manuals/.

If you do not have a reader for the PDF format, you may either go to
PDFreaders.org for a free PDF reader, or to
Adobe Acrobat Reader
for a proprietary reader. Both alternatives supports several platforms.
