Oscilloscope program?

Date: Nov 29    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 395

Does anyone know of an oscilloscope program that will accept input from
the sound card MIC socket? I'm working from a laptop and have no LINE
socket.

I've tried xoscope and ll-scope from the repositories, but no luck.
xoscope only accepts input from LINE, so far as I can tell, and I cannot
get ll-scope to work at all.

Perhaps you could add a USB sound card and have it do what you want? I got one
for a server board that had limited PCI slots. A friend borrowed it to see if
it would do what he wanted on his laptop and it did, so he ordered on from EBay.

I didn't even know those existed. Many thanks, that sounds as though
it'll be the answer - now all I need to do is find a Linux compatible
one.
