JSP or Servlet - WebServer

i know a little about JSP
and Servlets
i want to build a recruitment web site...
it has some pages....like a registeration form.....log in form
something like that.......
i'll use SQL Server 2000 as a Database Engine

i have some questions:
1. what should i use.. JSP or Servlet
2. i know that there're many web servers out there...but i don't
know which one should i use....what is the best one for my
project....

Definitely use Servlet.
Web server  i am using is sun java webserver
but best web  server is perhaps
Apache for beginner.
WebSphere/Weblogic for regular commercial uses

1.jsp is a servlet, the jsp  is parsed to a .java servlet  class em then
compiled to a .class bytecode...
The situation u are describing is very simple... u can do it
with simple jsp's
If u will not have a huge amount of page hits, u can use tomcat,
its very stable and completely compliant with the latest java
technologies...
