Ubuntu 10.04 software centre refuses to install skype or backuppc,[Requires installation of untrusted packages]it says, [OK] I click, but it doesnt install - why not?
Skype is proprietary. I don't think that it can be installed from the repos, but I could be wrong. I don't use it. It is in my sources list, but mysources are not standard. You can install it from Ubuntu Tweak and you can install Ubuntu Tweak fromGetDeb.netwww.getdeb.net/updates/Ubuntu/10.10/?q=ubuntu+tweakUbuntu Tweak is a great utility that everyone should install. I also likeAilurus which is th esame type of application, but different.http://code.google.com/p/ailurus/Both allow you to customise Ubuntu and install software. I don't know whatBackuppc is. You can install LuckyBackup or Back in Time from the repos andboth work well.
I got it from their site.Easy install really. Its just good for voice apps.Someone might can but Ive never been able to conduct business over videowith it.
