GUI Component

Does anybody know the name of the component that Yahoo
uses to display messages in it's chat room? The
component allows emoticons(i'm assuming these are
GIFs), text formatting and the like. I'm sure it's not
a swing component as the browser I'm on does not
display swing components.

It is a custom component  written by Yahoo!, probably on top of an AWT
Canvas.

What you wanna do can you tell me as i have done this thing in VC++ what i got
is that you wanna add messages  + emoticons if yes then reply me. i may help you.
