Any Genealogists using GRAMPS?

Date: Dec 13    Category: Unix / Linux / Ubuntu    Views: 281

I need to know if GRAMPS will automatically show the relationship of
everyone in the database to the root person. If so how? If not is there a
genealogy program for Linux which will?

Although I haven't used GRAMPS for awhile, I think it shows
relationships as well as any I looked at for Windows. I remember I had
to use a special chart in order to figure out 2nd cousins, etc.

Are you looking for a chart that shows a genealogy tree with every
person in your database, a listing of every person in your database
and their relationship to one person or something else.

The former is not available I think, but I am not sure. The only
program I have seen do this is family tree maker but this is Windows
only and reviews are not positive.

There used to be a report that gave a listing of every person in your
database and their relationship to one person but I cannot see it at
the moment.

To be honest, this is not the best place to ask this. GRAMPS has a
very active mailing list and many members are on the irc channel. If
you need more detail please ask. I know the website was down the other
day due to server issues, but it is back up now.

Hi light the first person, go to tools, utilities, relationship
calculator, and find the person you want to find the relationship with.
